Lagenam is a reusable bottle that represents plastic particles as it is filled water.
It shows how many plastic fragments would be in the bottle if it was filled with seawater,
to show how damaging single-use plastic can be to the environment.

In 2014, the IOP showed that there are approximately between 15 and 51 trillion individual pieces of microplastic in the ocean.
This means that , on average, there are 17 plastic fragments in every liter of seawater. What is surprising is that these fragments can be as big as 5 millimiters, and they don't biodegrade.

With this product, we aim to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles by allowing people to physically see how damaging it
can be to the environment.
As the bottle is filled with water, it starts to change color with the temperature, revealing a pattern that simulates the pollution in the ocean. This pattern is achieved with thermochromic paint.

One of the main reasons people don't consume responsibly is because they can't see the damage their newly bought product brings to the environment. Lagenam shows you the damage we could avoid if we stopped using disposable products.
